The Prague Philharmonia Wind Quintet was founded in 2007 on the initiative of the soloists of the Prague Philharmonia's wind section. The members of the ensemble have won prizes at national and international competitions. The quintet has made a name for itself not only through regular concerts on Czech concert stages, but also through recordings of compositions by Czech composers of the 20th century.

The Prague Philharmonia Wind Quintet will be performing in Wengen for the first time. It will perform a classical-romantic program in which the namesake of the Mendelssohn Music Week will be given a fitting place. In their cultivated interplay, they represent the tradition of Czech chamber music.
